A Nation Deceived
by Craig S. Barnes
A brief synopsis of the play:
“An old country lawyer relies upon the common sense of small town America to take on the Washington elite when he charges Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld with felony crimes. In an imagined Court of Common Opinion, the Old Man brings on witnesses who testify that these defendants lied in the statement of their intentions, justifications, and even in their prosecution of the Iraq war. The defense team counters with intelligence and good sense and the stage is set for betrayal, transformation and, at last, the possibility for hope. (The whole of the trial is based upon real, documented evidence now in the public record.)”
